If you're a mom you've got so much to worry about. The world seems to be deteriorating at an alarming rate every day. 

It's a world where you need to teach your little ones to run away screaming from strangers. 

It's a world where it's safer for some little children to be in the hands of strangers than with their own parents. 

It's comforting to know that God knew it would be this bad, and get ready for this, and it will get worse.

2 Timothy 3:1-8 says:

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self- control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.

Hey! It appears Timothy had a prophetic vision of daytime TV talk shows!

"Worming their way into homes" sounds like an apt description of television.  

"Weak-willed women who are loaded down with sin" sounds like the guests and audiences for the  ANY of the trashy talk shows littering the channels morning, noon and night!.

• Blessed is she whose car floor is covered with French fry guys, for she shall never be hungry.
      

• Blessed is she who goes to work with baby spittle on her shoulder, for she shall never have the opportunity to be proud about her appearance.
     

• Blessed is she whose checking account is a mess, for she is forced to truly and wholly trust her heavenly Father.
      

• Blessed is she who has children, for she will never doubt the doctrine of original sin.
      

• Blessed is she who has memorized Dr. Seuss's "Hop on Pop", for she will always be a hit at parties.
      

• Blessed is she who intervenes between warring siblings, for she shall be called a peacemaker.
     

• Blessed is she who gives up her career, her figure, her looks and her life for her children's sake, for she shall be called "Mommy".

This page was created in 1995 and has been resurrected because, quite honestly, the author is AMAZED at how relevant it is now, 8 years later.

We all start somewhere and this is where I started.  I created pages like these for a couple of years, then began creating pages for other people.  Finally, in 1998 I started creating pages for other people for pay. 

This page was originally composed in note pad, and unfortunately was saved as a .wps file so it had to be "reconstructed".
