The Top Ten Dogs for Families

This list is taken from A & E's Top Ten List "Top Ten Dogs For the Family".  They are listed in alphabetical order.

CA Anti-Spam 2007

The A & E list is the impetus for the creation of this site.  While each dog breed listed below is FABULOUS and PERFECTLY suited for family life when purchased from a reputable breeder, you must exercise EXTREME caution when choosing any of these popular dog breeds for your family.

  • Carefully research each breed before making a decision for your family.

  • Interview as many breeders of the breed that you can find.

  • See the dogs up close and personal, at dog shows and by visiting breeders.

  • Look at the adult your puppy will grow into, not just the cute and cuddly puppy.

This site was created because there are actually specimens of breeds on this list that can pose a physical danger to you or your children if purchased from the "wrong" dog breeder. The whole point of the site is to educated families so they don't make the mistake of buying the right breed from the wrong breeder.  Read more about finding the "right" kind of dog breeder by reading here.
