Kathy,

This was the most clever post I've read about marketing yourself! I would have never thought of using RuPaul as an example of good marketing, but it FITS...literally. I really enjoyed this post and chuckled through it...also, i didn't realize RuPaul was bald...I guess that goes to show you how his image has become him. Interesting...thanks for sharing :~)

Cath - Don't let that silly law scare you out of moving to Florida! (Though each state does have different laws!)

That law is currently under discussion in our legislature. I guess some guy up in the panhandle was choking goats and killing them as he violated them. When the owners tried to press charges - they discovered that old law on the books. Now our brilliant legislatures are trying to figure out how to word a law that makes having sex with animals illegal without making BREEDING animals with one and other illegal along the way.

Valerie - I'm seeing that this post is a mystery to people. I'm in the middle of several projects and didn't give this the time or attention I usually do in clarifying my message.

I think you can watch the show online if you don't get logo0 o - and I would recommend watching because each and every one of those Drag Queens totally GETS the essential elements of branding.

I get it! I don't use MAC makeup but when RuPaul became their spokesperson, I thought "I wish my makeup looked like that." His look has been consistent for years.

I was unaware of his reality show and had no idea where you were going with this post, but it works. It's particularly helpful to me because I am working on starting a business so I need to give some serious thought to a brand and stick with it.

Thanks, Kathy

Hi Kathy - This is so true and a lot of people do it. It's so expensive to change things, so definitely keep what works until it stops working.

BTW - I did not know things like bestiality were legal in Florida. That isn't good. I'm still looking at America as a place to move to, if we could get in. But I think I need to look at some of the laws in the different states first.

Jason - Exactly! Yeah! That was why I wrote this post. It wasn't because I've got that damned song "Covergirl" stuck in my head and keep hearing my DVR calling me to watch instead of work. :)

Thanks for covering for me .... AGAIN!
