OK, I'm embarrassed. My PR is NOT a proud 4... it's a ZERO! Don't how I got that wrong. Anyway, I'm still happy to be blogging and anyway, I still have the aspiration to climb to a 4 and beyond.

"Because any friend of Cath Lawson is automatically a friend of mine! ;)"

Exactly, I will subscribe and check out your blog. By the looks of this post, it is just what I like.

I am very interested in your report about the bankaholic's website.

Thanks,

~ Jim

Hi Kathy. At the moment I'm not too concerned with my PR but I do understand why a person "should" be if they are depending on it for the success of their business. When I first checked in Aug my rank was a whopping 0. It has climbed to a 4 so I feel positive about that since I'm not too actively out there... yet. I'm looking forward to learning more about SEO in the future, thanks for the stepping stone.

Hi Kathy - I've never got too hung up about Page Rank numbers - I'm still a 3. I'm guessing I don't get enough relevant links in. But I've always noticed that Google don't seem to count many of my links in at all. I guess I should study it more.

Sometimes when I receive links from a high PR blog - the inbound link looks as though it's coming from some obscure page. I don't know why they do that but I'm guessing it's something to do with PR. I think I'm going to try doing guest posts. At least I'd have more of a chance of getting found for highly competitive keyphrases as opposed to the less competitive ones I usually go for.
