This is one thing I am thinking about more and more. I've recently listened to a a free audio report by Brian Clark of Copyblogger on the subject of "Teaching Sells" and one of the things he is touching on this the tyranny of Google. Too often a lot of us get in the trap of "working for Google". One reason I named my company, SpinningSilk Multimedia is because I want to communicate to our clients how important it is to us various forms of media to get their message out. My company is in a very competitive market and I have to compete for page rank with some large companies that have a lot more capital and have been around a lot longer yet we are reaching out, gaining new customer and growing at a healthy pace by the use of print media, social networks, business blogging and power networking within our market. Google is not the only game and it's amazing the customers you can find through other channels.
